The snow-globe needs to be shaken to reveal its inner beauty. The transformation almost always surpasses what we had pictured in our mind. But seldom do Christians appreciate that we, like the snow-globe, need to be shaken to reveal the hidden beauty of Christ at work in our lives. It allows those around us to witness first-hand the incredible changes taking place. To be able to see the beauty and miracle of God’s handiwork. Often, the changes are quite subtle and happen over time. However, when the enemy shakes us almost to the point of breaking, Christ is the glue that we can faithfully count on to hold us together. There will be times when we need a good shaking to fulfill our purpose and to move out of our personal comfort zone. To use our God-Given-Gifts, bearing fruit and maturing in our faith. “…I (Paul) have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Phil. 4:11-13
The snow-globe had looked just like all the others as it sat dormant on the shelf. It appeared to have no purpose other than looking pretty. It took Christ to bring it to life and reveal its inner beauty.
